Reflection
The group editing project was an interesting assignment. At first I was apprehensive about this project but it turned out to be one that I didn't mind that much. The difference between this project and others is that you have to rely on someone else. Instead of establishing your own viewpoint and conducting research to back it up, you use another person's research to back up a certain viewpoint. You don"t have to use all of it, but you use what is relevant to the viewpoint you want to get across. I think the reason I enjoyed this project is because it was different from anything I have done before. Most assignments require a lot of research which turns me off and bores me very quickly. Taking someone else's work and mixing it up a little was more entertaining than doing it myself and kept me very interested in the project throughout the process.
inquiry project
Reflection
The inquiry project was the biggest project in the class. A substantial amount of work and research were required, in and out of the classroom, in order to complete this project. Unlike research projects I have worked on in the past, the topics covered were ones that I had personal experience with. I liked the freedom we were given when choosing a topic or inquiry. The topics chosen, were ones that are still relevant today and ones that I have had personal experience with. Due to the recent occurrence of these events and topics, i was able to give more personal insight than projects in past classes. Although the project was very time consuming and required a heavy workload, my interest in the topics kept me on track and kept my interest peaked throughout the process. Overall, I enjoyed the process and feel that it was effective in improving my writing and inquiry skills.
